What is my ip???

I m using my airtel gprs to use net on pc.

How do i know the ip of my computer?

I typed

ipconfig

and

ipconfig /release

in command prompt. The result dat i got is captured in the screenshot.

Is my ip address static

Coz sometimes i get error while downloading from rapidshare dat my ip is already downloading some file even though i m not

Does this mean dat my ip address is shared???

I think You dont have a Static IP
You have a Proxy One
wht IP you saw in IPCONFIG is the IP of your Machine & not your connection
you connection ip is what you saw in whatismyip.com


If you get the same result each time from whatismyip.com even if you disconnect & reconnet your connection that you have static otherwise its a proxy

same wid almost every phone. this is feature has been only implemented in some of the newer and costly phones.

regarding ip address: on an airtel gprs ips are assigned to the apns and hence all the gprs users connected to it will share the ip.

But i think no 2 computers can hav the same ip @ any given time

Does this also mean dat whatever info i exchange with various sites is visible and accessible to everyone who share my ip....

thanks. That solves my query. I plan to take the cheapest interconnection, i am in Delhi. Airtel says they don't have any option with night unlimited and data cap in day. Is that right?
