Way for faster transferring?

Hi Guys,

It relates to WINDOWS7 ULTIMATE. I usually transfer files from UPB to laptop and from laptop to USB. But it takes very much time for transferring the files. Is there any way or reliable free software for faster transferring?

Use teracopy for better management. The speeds depend on the USB itself. If you're using USB 2.0 on an old 5400 rpm drive, good luck with that.

The best ways are hardware based

1. Get USB 3.0

2. Get an external HDD

Usual cat5 lan cable can do gigabit too,no need to buy cat6 cable for that(those are for other technical issues irrelevant to a normal home user).Btw many HP laptops below 35-40k don't even come with gigabit ethernet/lan port even now.

really ? I thought Gbit Ethernet Adaptors were quite common these days! It's a shame with these vendors, specially not pushing basic things such and this and FHD resolution
