Well "high end" and "value for money" don't go hand in hand.

If you are thinking about a high end rig & are into gaming, I advise you opt for 19/21" CRT rather than 17" TFT. IMO there is no need for dual processor rather stick with dual core processor cuz prices of dual proc mobo are higher and at the end of it, you will land up with an outrageously expensive system. So rather opt for dual core proc.

I guess 35K wont be enough for a killer rig that you have in mind. A decent 17" TFT will cost you in north of 20K. 1 GB RAM will be ~8K & DVDR another 4k. So it seems you'll have to soup up your budget some.

Dude it would be around 14k. You can check the link given below. Its from Samsung. Prices will be lower than what they have quoted.

Mate, even though you buy a 19" Samsung Monitor which cost around 13k, you need have a budget of around 45k (for your config)

AMD Athlon 3800+ X2 (which will be available soon) will cost you around 16k. Minimum 5 to 6k for the motherboard, 13k for the 19" monitor, 1 GB RAM DDR 400 will cost you 5k and for the rest add another 8k (minimum) Total will be around 50k LOL

I suggest you go for this config

AMD Athlon 3200+ - 7k
19" CRT Monitor - 13k
Motherboard - 6k
512 MB Ram - 2.5k
DVD writer (go for Sony or Liteon) - 3.5k
Rest (Keyboard mouse, cabinet etc) 4k

Comes up to around 36k

Go for it.. Buying a AMD 3800+ X2 right now is not recommened.. :)

Well its not actually high end.....its a very common config...
Talking abt high end u shd think abt dual procy config...2 gb or more ecc ram...512mb gfx crd...4*80gb or more hdds in sata raid or even scsi and so on
It really depends how high end u wanna go..
Confirm us ur budget nd the purpose of ur comp..then we will try to suggest u the max high end can go for 8)

dont for 3000 its like getiing a processsor from a grave go for atleast a 3500 with 939 pin and a venice core will be good deal and seriously 3800 x2 when it will come is a great buy dont expect price of same to fall more the higher series price will fall though but u will have to wait for a long time for them to becaome avilable in india there has been rumors that amd will soon stop producing more 3000 but it will take time amd wants dual core to becaome a the avg peoples buy so prices will drop down once production becomes more andu will see adeath of processor like 3000

Mate the price of AMD 3800 x2 when launched will be around 18k and it will drop to around 15k within a months time.. Just got news that AMD is reducing the prices of their Dual Core Processors further.. Amd 3800+ X2 will Compete against Intel Pentium D 830.. A 4000+ X2 is rumored as well as a low end (mainstream) Dual Core Processor..

This is the config i have planned for.. Will buy it in 2 months time..
