want to buy a usb drive

i need to know about the usb drive as i will be frequently downloading many small useful foftwares...

i cant put them uploaded each time to my g mail.....

i need to know in and out of it with 1GB capacity....

Go for a Transend if is abuout 1200 Rs for a 128MB, it is good no probs with that

Has anyone thought that we can use a Memory Card alongwith a USB Card Reader in place of a pen drive?

That Memory card then can also be used in Digital Cameras, Mobiles, etc.

I got a 512 MB SD card sometime back for around Rs. 1900. MMC are are still cheaper by about Rs. 100. All-in-one card readers come for around Rs. 350.

Go for LG Pen Drive. It is cool and i am using it for a year with no problem.

i'm using a transcend 256mb for alomst 6 months now. I purchased it for aabout 1600,u will get 512 mb for 2500 , so 1 GB will be around 4000-4500 i guess...

And yes..they are good, fast and reliable.
