want to buy a digi cam

my uncle wants to buy a digicam, (budget around 10k).
brands can b canon, sony or nikon.
pl help me out.

Go for Canon Powershot A720 IS or A590 IS.
IS= Image Stabilisation

Both of the above two cameras have Optical Image Stabilisation.

I think 720is has been discontinued . Go for 590is.

what abt any products from sony? (Sony - DSC-W110). i liked canon 590 IS, but my uncle has a liking for sony products.

is canon 590 IS better than sony w110?

Stay off from Sony cameras.

why, I am currently using a DSC P 31, 4 yr old sony digicam , only 2MP Camera and its working great, gives good pics. and no probs till now.
