Please Suggest PC Upgradation
I want to build a computer under 20k for project purpose. I am a 3D Animator and mostly work on heavy softwares so i need a processor with high clocking speed and need more memory for supporting viewports and rendering. Currently i am using a AMD Anthlon 64 x 2 Dual Core Processor 4000+ 2.11 GHz with ASUS board M2N-MX-SE having 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 RAM and a 500 GB Hard Disk which is extremely low for me to work on it.
My Budget is low but i dont want a workstation i am just going to build my personal projects on it.
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: I am a 3D Animator and i want it for using applications like 3ds Max, Maya, Photoshop, After Effects (All Latest versions).
Also want play games like Call of Duty - Black Ops, Crysis2, NFS shift, etc
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: Rs. 20,000 - Rs. 25,000 not more than that
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Yes(only for rendering)
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: I already have a hard drive 500 GB
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No, My current screen is LG 17 inches with 1280 x 1024
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Hard Drive, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Cabinet
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: End of This Month.
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: No my friend is going to assist.
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: I live in Nashik, Maharashtra. I am planning to buy locally.
