How is the data is read from such CDs?
If you notice the edges are rounded.
Now open your cd tray and observe, right in the center there is a shallow depression. These "cds" are placed in the depression and function like normal cds. The rounded edges help keep them from flying.
They store about 250MB data.
They cant be used on "slot in" drives though.

They are similar to mini cd's.
