Wana FREE Drivers!!!

I have PC GamePad same like PlayStation's gamepad with serial port.The problem is gamepad driver cd has broke! The brand is rubbed while playing n i don't know of which company it is.Plz some one advice frm where can i get FREE drivers for my GamePad for XP-SP1?I only can tell that this gamepad is same like d PSOne console uses!

Hey without proper hardware info...it is quite difficult to find the hardware...let me try....and inform u later....

hmm well what you can do is ..when you connect it..do you see a Yellow Question Mark..as unknown device..if you do then try this.....

go to properties...and click update..now when asked select connect Internet..and let it find the Drivers..it may Take time..but its worth waiting.....

2}download Unknown Device Identifier and scan the H/W with it..may b it will find the Make/Vendor for you


BTW i havnt tryed Gamepads b4..but doesnt Xp recognizes gamepad's themselves n Install the Drivers Automatically ??? ..well normally when i install Sound card Drivers ..the Game Port Drivers r installed also..so you can chk your Sound card Drivers ..n see if there are any Drivers for ur gamepad in it ......

Whn i connect d gamepad,nothing happens.So i go 2 control panel/game controllers,here i click add.Then Windows tells me that a new hardware drivers r installed n ready 2 use.So i open Device Manager here i found GamePad is OK.But d game controllers section shows that GamePad is not connected! I check pad n found correct...Plz tell me how 2 overcome this problem...THX AGAIN BRO

i used to play wid a joystick that was connected to gameport of the soundcard. not anymore. but i never used any drivers for that. i just installed the generic driver which was based on the no. of axes and buttons on the joystick. i did it manually thru the control panel applet. afaik you need the driver for it only if ya wanna haf the extra features of the thingy. for normal plane jane use any generic driver from windows database should do fine...
