frens i have the following rig:
amdx2 4200 processor,
2 gb ram,
zebronics mcp61 motherboard ....with 16x pci xpress
450 watts powersupply


my budget is 13000
please suggest me at the earliest///

Hm..
I think anything more than radeon 3850 would be bottlenecked by ur CPU.If u can get one for 10 K or less buy that.Else 8800 gt version is much better(considering India prices).This way,u can keep the 8800 gt when upgrading ur cpu,then buy another one to sli(if no plans for upgrading in next 2 yrs,then buy 8800 gt pci express 2 version since more future proof.If ur PSU generic or separate,which brand.


About the prices outside:
8800 gt about 220-260 $
3850 about 180-210 $
But,in India:
8800 gt - Rs 13-15K
3850 -Rs 11.5 -13K
3870 - Rs 13-15K
9600gt -Rs 13k?

If u have someone outside coming soon,persuade them to buy 8800gts 512MB .(<300$)

but just to inform 9600gt can overclock more than 8800gt (in stable state)

and 9600 run cooler than 8800 in 3dmark test

8800gt - Temp>> Idle:38c Load: 47c
9600gt - Temp>> Idle:33c Load: 46c

but 8800 wins in performance

btw, 14541 is too good score for 8800GT! IMO, the test bed would've Extreme Series Quad including ram!

ya the test rig was a

quad core Q6600 - (3.6 ghz) oc

Crucial Ballistix Tracer 800Mhz 4x1GB @ 4-4-4-12 [but actually ballistix series that outperforms others]
P5K Deluxe Mobo

but it doesn't matter as both cards were tested in the same rig
