^^free ram is firmware dependant. both have 128 mb ram. The next firmare release for the N78 will provide better memory utilization.
^^ Dude N82 has 128 Mb SDRAM with 90 Mb on fresh boot , while N78 has 96 MB SDRAM memory with 44 Mb free.
Please get your facts straight
N82 & N78 both already have excellent memory utilization techniques. Even if new firmware comes for N78 at the most it can increase a few mb free ram,
And remember N82 also will get an updated firmware , so the same rules apply to it too.
And both have significantly the same ARM processor with a few minor tweaks. Its not a computer where the processor will affect the performance a great deal.
I am talking about the whole package.
While the N78 is a single CPU , the N82 has a Dual CPU with extra processing for Digital signal processor (DSP). Its performance is significantly better.
Plus N82 also has a Graphics Accelerator which increases multimedia and gaming performance.
Ps. And finally N82 is a top end product while the N78 is aimed at middle class market. So its quite logical that we can deduce that N82 has a better cpu without reading all this stuff
