visual settings of xp changed

my computer's xp visual settings were modified/changed on its own to win 98 style, the xp eye candy is no more to be seen.
i saw in properties-apperance and in windows and styles, i saw only windows 98 style, windows xp style was no more mentioned therein.
please help in getting my old settings backj.
NOTE: i have turned off system restore.

right click to My Computer select system Properties now go to advence tab.... then performance setings then select adjust for best apiarence click ok....

also go to theme & select windows XP.... click ok.....

btw way thats a nice wallpaper u have in background.... where did u get it from... i am a big fan of Air shot, shot of earth from outer scape.... so would u give me the link....

actually the problem was not solved, but thanxx for ur reply.
i got to know that the themes service was disabled by tune XP.
i enabledit, and the problem was solved.
i have got the wallpaper from digit march 2005 dvd, there 10-12 wallpapers of earth's shot from space out there.
