Virus problem?

I recently scanned my entire hdd with norton internet security (updated). It detected a virus and 6 tracking cookies. I removed them. Since then i am having a very strange and annoying problem. When i start my pc, a message that dllloader.dll is missing always pops up. i tried disabling startup, tried doing a clean boot but nothing helped. Also when i tried clean boot, when i checked task manager for startup apps it showed two "program" named programs with no icon enabled. I had disabled all startup apps before restarting and as far as i remember, i did see those two programs on the start up list before. At the time of writing this thread, i am scanning with eset online scanner, in case my norton is compromised, but so far (55%) its all green. Also idk if its related but when i try right clicking on any file (not folder or empty space) it takes over 15 secs to show the context menu. When I log in and right clicking for refresh it takes 2-3 secs for the first time then its all instantaneous. NO lags anywhere (desktop or in explorer). I tried defragmenting (only 8% fragmented btw) but it did not prove effective. I only have one partition (i deleted my recovery drive - 24 gib its still empty/unformatted/drive letter unassigned, undetected by windows). I am using win 8.1 (updated) and have 787 gib free of 905 gib C:\ partition. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

PS:I am totally Pissed

antiviruses removes virus, they don't restore everything back to before virus.i would have suggested a clean reinstall but you have deleted the recovery drive so it is very difficult to now reinstall genuine win 8.

attachment not working.use imgur to post images.forum attachment function sometimes don't work.after eset download malwarebytes anti-malware free version(during install don't choose pro version option) & update it & then do a full system scan.free version does not have any time expiry only no real-time monitoring but that is not required anyway if you have a good AV installed.

ESET deleted 6 files but the dllloader.dll error still pops up at startup. I will give malwarebytes a try but can a malware cause a problem like that?

i would recommend a boot time scan. normal scans will not be able to detect some of the rootkits/viruses... try bitdefender rescue disk.

Avast boot time scan is very useful feature, especially considering that it is offered in free version.

is there a way to perform boot time scan in norton internet security? I just can't find that option in the setting...or there is no such feature?

Edit: Just scanned with malwarebytes trial. Detected and removed 3.. including a trainer which norton declared safe... So far the system seems alright and the right click issue seems resolved. Will report again after a day of usage.

Edit: No problems pop up after startup but when i boot up from sleep, the error dllloader.dll not found pops up everytime. The right click issue is RESOLVED.

Ok I got autoruns for windows ... now what? All this stuff is making no sense at all.

Edit: Solved the startup Issue but the rightclick issue has started again. This is so damn annoying.
