laborare est orare
Core i7 2600K @ 18.5K
Biostar TZ68A+ @ 7.6K (check Flipkart)
G-skill ripjawX 4GB X 2 1600 MHz @ 3K
BenQ G2220HDL 1080P LED Display @ 7.6K
SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W @ 4.6K

Total 41.3K. BTW, you can also consider AMD FX 8120 or FX 8150 and a 990X or 990FX based combo for your purpose. Although in gaming and single threaded environment AMD FX series is no match for i7 2600K, in Multi-threaded applications it can boost the performance due to its 8 cores, large cache and New instruction set like SSE4, AVX support. Video encoding is a highly multi-threaded task and it can take benefit of FX series processor.

Here is the AMD based config:-

AMD FX 8150 @ 14.5K
Asus M5A88-M EVO @ 7.2K
G-skill ripjawX 4GB X 2 1600 MHz @ 3K
BenQ G2220HDL 1080P LED Display @ 7.6K
SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W @ 4.6K

36.9K

+1 for cilus.

this cud also be considered -

AMD FX 8120 @ 11.7K
GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 @ 7.2K
G-skill ripjawX 4GB X 2 1600 MHz @ 3K
BenQ G2220HDL 1080P LED Display @ 7.6K
Sapphire Firepro V3800 @ ~6.5k
SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W @ 4.6K

Total - 40.6k

^^ Good config for the purpose. Actually sandybridge cpu's are great in video encoding due to their quicksync feature. Cilus's 1st config was great due to quicksync but fitting a gpu wasn't possible.

I think op can pair a 2500k with the above z68 motherboard and can still add a gpu. It will be a better option than bulldozer or the fx series processors. Quicksync is blazing fast and offers better results as well. Its tried and tested & is the forte of 1155 sandybridge processors.

Time to be really specific here. Quick Sync atm is only for H.264 - "Sandy Bridge CPUs are greatgood for H.264 encoding"....why good? Encoding through Quick Sync is limited. You get limited settings like bitrate to play around.
