Very Slow Speed of Broadband...

Last week, it gave a speed of 60-70 KBps pn Rapidshare...
But now it is giving a speed of 10-15 KBps on rapidshare and web pages are also taking a lot of time to load...
It looks like i m using airtel Gprs..
Wat can be the problem??
i m on BSNL Home 500..

check with other users in ur area/exchange... and go bsnl office and complain...

ok.. thnx for the replies...
but sometimes i get arnd 100KBps while downloading torrents...
but the browsing speed is damn slow..

Also the ADSL Cable Indicator keeps blinking...
the wire has got the problem??
I hav to disconnect and reconnect again and again...

See..if ADSL ligh keep blinking..it means data is being transfer.So..it may be possible some program is using bandwidth in background.USe any good firewall to block unwanted program to access internet.

I hav to disconnect and reconnect again and again...

Are U surfing net through USB cable.Such problem is common in usb connection.Prefer ethernet connection.

no i m using ethernet card...

The adsl indicator some times blinks at in that positions the net slows done and sometimes stops...
But when the indicator is not blinking, browsing speeds increase...

for 1.5 days am not able to get dataone working.so ur case too may be related to bsnl.may be shud check out for the land line connection cables perfect.

today the whole server got down...
noone in the whole was able to connect...
but now they hav fixed the problem..

yup me too ( and a lot of my friends too ) .

and from june2 to june5 i wasnt able to access all sites ( google but not yahoo and i cudnt accesss digit also , most were not coming , only a few ) , now prob solved but today morn , i cudnt access any site ... whats with bsnl ? what speeds do u get in airtel ( and its price ) ? shall i change ?
