are v 3242 au laptops realy worth it.what can b done to improve their performance and reliability

hi folks.had to replace motherboard and keyboard of my this laptop.the desktop doesnt open now because the system asks for window key activation-ive tried feeding the original key configuration and then connecting but it doesnt work.should i spk toi microsoft or hp.can someone provide me any solution to this problem
