Right off the assembly line
I tried installing the UXTheme Multipatcher 5.5 so that i could use a third-party visual theme on my windows xp home(sp2) but i get this message saying:
'UXTheme Multipatcher 5.5 has detected that there's any Windows NT setup file in C:\WINDOWS\i386. It's not recommended you continue with this. Please eject your windows NT cd or move the folder to some other location. Click OK to exit.'
I had not inserted any cd during this time so what do I do?? Will it be safe if I move the folder and where should I move it to?

You can use Stardock SkinStudio for applying XP visual styles.

it seems you're using a Branded PC, with Pre-loaded Windows XP (OEM).

to install the Patcher, just rename i386 to i386a or any thing you desire & install the Patcher->restart-> intall theme & Rename i386a folder back to original name (i386).

i too had this problem & Mr. Vista (Vishal_Gupta) had advised me to do this & it worked.

^^ Indeed. :D

You can safely rename (even delete, but its not recommended) I386 folder. It'll not affect anything. After installing the patch, u can revert back the name w/o any problem. ;)

Garbage

God of Mistakes...
I think it gives warning b'coz Windows File Protection replace back original UXTheme.dll by that folder i.e. Installation folder.

As we r "patching", this is NOT recommended there... :D

^^ Absolutely. Actually the patcher looks into registry for getting the path of installation folder and then it makes sure that the installation folder doesnt exists. If it exists, then it gives error otherwise it starts patching the file. ;)
