Utility to test memory

Frequent blue screens & never-heard errors may be a outcome of defective RAM.

Please suggest some reliable utilities for checking RAM-chips which can be run in DOS mode.

I agree with this statement in that memtest86 has practically become the standard. But I've sometimes come across memory sticks that passed memtest86 with flying colours even after a run of several hours, but still caused errors.

Conversely, I've also known a few sticks that consistently show a defect at specific locations when tested with memtest86, but never cause problems in normal use.
