USB tethering

hello! i have been using usb tethering on my phone for a past few days and its working very well. but whenever i connect my lg optimus one p500 to my netbook it automatically starts charging the battery. i wanted to know that when my battery charges up to 100% and then also i keep my phone connected to my netbook, will it damage my battery? if yes then how can i turn off usb charging?

Li-ion batteries used on modern times do not have issues like previously used batteries which used to get hot when overcharged. Li-Ion batteries simply do not get charged after they are full...so do not worry about that
