USB Problem - ASUS A8N-VM-CSM - HELP ?

Hi friends..

I have been facing a quite strange problem in USB from past 1 month.

It used to work totally fine till sometime back.. but now whenever I connect USB Thumbdrive / HDD, It gives me error msg shown below.

When I click on it, I Get this

It detects hard disk/ Thumbdrive but speed is very very slow for transfer of data. I Guess USB 2.0 is recognized as USB 1.1.

I connenct them directly to the port. I am not using any USB Hub

My config is as below

AMD Processor
ASUS A8N-VM-CSM Motherboard
512*2 = 1 GB Trascend DDR RAM
400 GB Seagate SATA HDD

Windows XP Original with SP2

Can any one help on this issue ? If there is need to reinstall USB Drivers for ASUS A8N-VM-CSM Motherboard then please give me correct URL

Checked both options.. Still no Solution

Set USB both in Fast & High Speed mode from Bios

I am not getting any Yellow mark in hardware manager Still same problem exists..

Any help ?

What is shown under Universal Serial Bus Controllers in Device Manager?

Is USB Root Hub shown?

Try uninstalling the USB Root Hubs and restart your pc. It will automatically detect and install all the hubs again. You might be asked for the XP cd so keep it handy.

Have you updated your bios recently & then the problem occurs

One guy has exactly the same problem after he updated his bios :

If you've updated the entry in your bios and set to Full Speed but even then you are getting usb 1.1 speeds then its time to hunt for Chipset/USB drivers.
