Eager to learn.
Hello guys,
I want to buy a self powered USB hub. (for external HDDs, printers etc.)

Is the following USB hub a self powered one ?
iBall – Your eyeball view. Our technology new.

Their website shows that its a self powered one, but the local dealer is saying that it can't give power to printer and external HDDs.

I am totally confused now.
Please help me. :(

Yes for the first time a local dealer is right. THe HUB might give power to a printer but I dont think it will be able to give a USB powered external HDD power.

The HUB also bottlenecks speed a lot and hence its better to use a port directly

Thank god, atleast someone replied.
Thanks thetechfreak. :)

Recently I have upgraded my desktop. (but kept my old cabinet.)
Now the front USB ports and LEDs are not working.
The dealer said that either I need to buy a new cabinet or buy a USB hub.
I don't want to buy a new cabinet.

He might not have connected the wires in the fron USB so you will buy a new cabby.

Yes, the cables are not connected.
We both have tried to connect the cables to new motherboard, but there is nothing written on the cables. (Not even color codes.)
