Usb Extension sloution

HEy guys i know general usb extension cable provide good signal quality over 1-2meter only
But i need usb extension over solution 10meters so i can put my data card on rooftop of my house (as i live in village no cellular network in my room but full network on rooftop, as rooftop is 4 stories high)
i had one cable sm 10 mtr long but whatever usb device u connect it, it wont get detected by my os

PS: i can spend around 1000rs for this n i live near new mumbai sm 80-100km away so Vashi or Lamigton road is reachable for me

usb 2.0 specification allows for a max cable length of 5m.only option is to use an external powered usb hub in between something like this:

btw just to be clear i don't recommend rediff for online shopping.

What do you actually want? Transmission of data?
Use RJ-45 and transmit over 802.3

how do i get usb ports over rj-45

never tried one so can't be certain.theoretically it looks possible place this hub at 5m distance & connect it to your laptop.use included ac adapter to connect hub to power source.then connect data card placed at 5m distance to this hub.external power from hub should provide enough power to data card & laptop--->hub path should have enough power to carry over data from hub to laptop.still it is a risky matter since 5m is the max length supported by usb2.0 & you will be pushing the limits not to mention if the total distance is even slightly larger than 10m then this will fail.a far better option would be a 3g/EVDO/CDMA usb router in which you can insert your data card in the back usb port of router & then router will create a wifi network to share the datacard connection but again i am not sure about the vertical range covering 10m.also cheapest router like this will cost ~2400.

You can use USB2 between any two points whose distance is >5m.

^^usb2.0 specification allows for a maximum cable extension length of 5m.it is just like max wire limit in 100mbps lan.
