Right off the assembly line
My current PC config is as below

Motherboard: INTEL DG41TY
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400
RAM: 800Mhz transcend 2X2GB
GPU: XFX Q9500GT
Harddisk: Seagate 500gb

I have recently purchased a Seagate back up plus 2Tb external hard drive which is usb 3.0

Now my question is as follows.

After some read up on the internet I have found that I could upgrade my desktop to usb 3.0 by using a pci card.

Q1. Is it worth the upgrade to USB 3.0 purchasing a new card.
Q2. If yes which are the good cards in the market which are worth a buy.
Q3. What transfer speeds may my comp achieve with the upgrade

Thanks for your help in Advance.

Q1: Yes

Q2: Couple of months back I bought Transcend USB 3.0 PCI-E card for 870 Rs.

The only issue i have is that since there are no front-panel USB 3.0 ports in my cabinet, i bought USB 3.0 extension cable as my HDD cable was too short and when i connect my USB 3.0 HDD [ADATA HD710 1TB] with the extension cable, my HDD doesn't get detected. I have to connect my HDD directly to the port at the back :( which is uncomfortable.

I think there is also a PCI version of the card available.

Q3: Attached are the test results of Crystal Disk mark when connected to USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports.
