USB 3.0 queries

I am planning to buy a USB 3.0 pen drive 8GB.
And i 've never used a usb 3.0 before

So, first of all suggestions are most welcome....

Second,
I wanted to ask if there are issues regarding connectivity with my laptop, because going through the web i found that it behaves as a usual USB2.0 .

There were some explanations regarding number of pins in the USB 2.0 port.

I am a novice... so any discussion would enlighten my knowledge in the subject

USB 3.0 is backward compatible to USB 2.0, you would get USB 2.0 speeds though.

There will no advantage to buy USB 3.0 if you are having USB 2.0 port. It will give the same speed as USB 2.0 pen drive.

No, a USB 3.0 drive will be faster than generic kingston USB 2.0 drives(pathetic read and even more pathetic write speeds) on a USB 2.0 ports.
