I have an i7 4770 config in mind but I know a Xeon will be better. Can anyone throw some light on memory support of Xeon E 1245 v2? Is ECC memory necessary with Xeons?

afaik ECC memory can correct 1 bit error and not necessary for our work. it may be useful for scientific works. again just my thought.
also, an H87 board like asus h87 pro is enough. also hyper 212 is not required.antec a20/hyper 101/antec a40/hyper tx3 is enough. i would suggest a better psu like seasonic x760 or corsair ax760.

Thanks for the quick reply guys.
We can cut down ram to 2x8gb and SSD to 120 GB,so can you suggest another configuration with a better processor like Intel Xeon Processor E3-1275 v2. Also what about a config with i7 4770 or is the Config with Xeon will be better?

ssd will help in rendering. so i would suggest to get 256 gb. else, if you are fine with 120gb, choose samsung 840 pro 128gb ssd.
xeon e3-1275v2 is based on older ivybridge architecture. the new one is xeon e3 1275 v3 which is based on new haswell architecture. i think it is not available in india.try to ask in different shops. also, if i would suggest an overclokable rig since rendering speed will get improved , if you are interested into overclocking.xeon 1245 v3 is available here(i guess) and is same as i7 4770 with the quality of being a server grade processor.
so your two choices are,
intel Xeon E3-1245v3 -21k / i7 4770 - 21k
asus h87 pro - 10k
hyper tx3/antec a40 - 1.5k
G.Skill RipjawsX f3-12800cl10s-8gbxl 8 GB x2-13k
WD Black 1 TB -5.8k
Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB SSD -15k or pro 128 gb - 9k
Leadtek Quadro K4000 3 GB -58k
seasonic x760 - 9k - it seems, k4000 is really power efficient. you can look at seasonic s12ii 620/ or corsair tx 650v2 to settle down the cost. 760W seems to be overkill.
Corsair 500R-7.6k
This is a non-overclockable rig.

another one which is overclockable is given below. i suggest this :)
i7 4770k- 23k
asus z87 pro - 17k
corsair h80i - 7.5k swiftech h220 - 11k
G.Skill RipjawsX f3-12800cl10s-8gbxl 8 GB x2-13k
WD Black 1 TB -5.8k
Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB SSD -15k or pro 128 gb - 9k
Leadtek Quadro K4000 3 GB -58k
seasonic x760 - 9k - it seems, k4000 is really power efficient. you can look at seasonic s12ii 620/ or corsair tx 650v2 to settle down the cost. 760W seems to be overkill.
Corsair 500R-7.6k

Thanks again.sorry for the typo i meant V3 :)
Is there any significant performance difference between Xeon E3 1245v3
(287$) and Xeon E3-1275 v3( 350$). We can import it if the product is not available in India. So that's not a deal breaker.

intel Xeon E3-1245v3 -21k / i7 4770 - 21k
asus h87 pro - 10k
hyper tx3/antec a40 - 1.5k
G.Skill RipjawsX f3-12800cl10s-8gbxl 8 GB x2-13k

Corsair 500R-7.6k

Total -135k. so we have a good 15k left.
So is the money worth if we go for Xeon E3-1275 v3?

for mere 100 MHz, 1275 v3 is not worth at all. choose 1245v3 if you are not into overclocking.
also there will be no warranty for imported items.

for the psu, you can also consider cooler master v series ones like V700. Cooler master's support should be better than that of seasonic's.

if you can get i7 4770 at a lower price, then go with it basically both are same cpus.
seasonic x760 is better at ripple suppression while v700 has a little higher efficiency(negligible- not a criteria to select).
seasonic support is not as good as coolermaster. in any way you wont be making a bad decision.i suggest cooler master one since seasonic x760 is out of stock on major online stores(except india).
