URGENT HELP PLREASE! Sigmatel Audio Problems!

Hi there.

I had purchased an Intel S975XBX2 Motherboard on 26th February 2007. This m/b came with a CD containing all the necessary drivers for the m/b. It had sigmatel audio drivers for my m/b also.

These drivers were working perfectly for a long time. Now, My motherboard started facing problems, and i had to send it to Intel for replacement. I recieved a new replaced motherboard from Intel yesterday and i used the same hard-drive that i was using earlier. It had the contents as it is. So the drivers were there too.

Now, the LAN and Chipset drivers were same and started working immediately. But the audio driver gave me a problem with an error -->

"Could Not Start Device. Code 10 Error"

So, i completely formatted my computer, downloaded the latest BIOS update, flashed my BIOS to the latest version available from Intel and downloaded the latest audio drivers posted on the website.

After installing that, the same problem kept coming. The symptoms of the problem are:

The symptoms were the same as others here:

- no audio

- in the device manager, the "Sigmatel High Definition Audio Codec" had a yellow circled exclamation point.

- the device status was "This device cannot start - Code 10"


Also, when i restart my computer, i get the following errors:

The sound won't start at all! Please help me here in what steps i should follow to get the sound working again.

hmm... Points I am considering, you have formated the system, updated the BIOS and drivers but still issue is no...

Suggestion I would giving,

Change the OS,

If you are using VIsta, then try Windows XP, if you are using Windows XP then try vista... see what happens there...

now if the problem presists on both OSes, then time for you to contact Intel support :)

sonic focus drivers ??

I gues they stopped providing it a long ago, though i hav then in my mobo CD.

Try only SigmaTel Audio drivers from intel.
