ups and inverter not compatible

my ups does not work under inverter...
i.e when I try to run the computer using the inverter (in case of power failure) the UPS does not go to standby state .... (there is regular noise of relay switch and its characteristic beep) so I am not able to run my computer using the inverter.
yesterday itlsef I got my old my old CRT monitor replaced for a TFT monitor coz I thought that ups suffered from that problem due to the voltage that the CRT demanded for starting up. Althought now the thing sees to be very much impossible.'Please help me out.

the power supply of ur inverter seems very poor hence ups sees the bad power and kicks in but soon it senses power from the wall socket and again goes to cut off mode.
