uploading updates probs

Whenever I want to close down my pc I get the message "Please do not power off or unplug your machine.Installing 1 of 7 updates......" The updates finish and the pc shuts down. Then next time I want to close down the pc I get the same message again and this has been happening for sooo long. I have to wait at least 10 minutes just to shut off the pc. Help me please

simply install tuneup utilities and remove all update backups. it should fix the problem.

Turn off automatic windows update from control panel security tab.
