Upgradation pls help me?????????????

i hav a PC with the foll config:

INTEL P4 1.8GHZ WITH 2MB CACHE
256MB RAM, MERCURY MOTHERBOARD(PI845GLM), 3 PCI SLOTS, USB 2.0, ON BOARD VGA, LAN, LG DVD-RAM DRIVE, SAMSUNG 793S MONITOR, INTEX MULTIMEDIA KEYBOARD, MICROSOFT WIRELESS MOUSE, INTEX 2.1 CHANNEL 2000W SPEAKERS WITH SUB-WOOFER...............................

I would like to buy a graphics card OF 512 RAM, 2gb ram(my motherboard supports this) AND A 5.1 CHANNEL SPRAKER SET(ARTIS S6600 FM).

PLS HELP ME MY BUDGET IS ABT 15K.I AM NOT WHISHING TO CHANGE THE PROCESSOR.

^^ If your mobo has no AGP slot (you dint mention it) then I dont think you should go for a PCI gfx card. It will be hard to find, expensive and not worth the cost.

Afaik the mobo has a 8x or 4x agp slot.. So go get a big 7600 gt 256mb 4 8k.. and get 1 gb ddr ram.. And to hav a 5.1 spkr system u ll need to take a new sound card..

never heard a P4 1.8Ghz had 2MB cache,knew that they had 512KB L2.

I am skeptical about capability of the MoBo too as many Mercury MoBos with on-board gfx chip has gfx slot but has the warning too that inserting gfx card will damage the MoBo. Strange but true (I have one such MoBo from Mercury).
