Unformattable Pen drives

Hi everyone out there. I am having problem with my pendrive as it's not getting formatted by any tools or software including DOS.

I had searched on google but couldn't find any useful help for my case.
The details are:
Pen drive: AMKETTE SPECTRA 2GB
Error msg: Windows was unable to complete the format.

OS: Windows XP

Tools used: many, from google and I don't remember now.

Can anybody help pls!

go to device manager, delete the pendrive & create new partition. now format. though this only applicable to a skim no of pendrives, still give a try.

this kind of problems always get solved by searching on manfucturer site.
most of them have a free format utility.
