Unable to transfer "large" files to J300i

I am trying to transfer songs and pictures to my J300i using DCU-11 datacable and sony ericsson PCsuite but am only able to tansfer files around
400 - 500 kb files.
For larger files i get an error saying Unable to trasfer. Operation not supported.
Please tell me if my phone does not support this. Is there any other way or software which can allow me to do this?

i'm not sure about haf a cap on the file size transfer. i've had no problems transfering large files on a k300i (12mb mem), t610 (2mb mem) or a k700i (41mb mem).

U may not be having enough free memory. I have downloaded files of around 4mb via infrared and 4.2mb via data cable. I am using SOny Ericccson K300i. Btw which s/w u use for this purpose.
