Hi, My HD has two primary partitions and an extended partition(ALL NTFS) The two primary partititions are 30 GB win xp sp3 [C:] , 30 GB Win XP x64 SP2 [E:] (This partition is empty .I have not yet installed Win XP x64. ??? ) The extended partition I made is of 19.36 GB capacity.I made a logical partitition inside it allocating whole of the space ,ie 19.36 GB[D:].I used it to backup content from my old IDE hard disk. The remaining 386.41 GB of unallocated space I want to partitition as a single partitition, formatting as NTFS allocating whole of the space. The problem is that formatting stops still at around 44%.There is no message, nothing. It wont go beyond 44 %.Any Help, please?

use and check other tools like partiion magic.
Though my experience is lil different, I made 200GB partition , not tested above 300GB but NTFS supports big sizes pretty easily.
