Broken In
i have an acer aspire 4520. I had installed ubuntu 8.04 around four months back and at the beginning of this month upgraded to 8.1 over the internet. But from then onwards my hard-disk had started underperforming, and today, i just cant boot into windows.
Windows has become so slow, explorer takes around 20mins to load completely, and half of the partitions are not being mounted.
I cannot access two of my partitions which I used to access heavily from ubuntu. Also when I tries to do a fresh windowsXP install, it wants to format the whole of my hard disk and is showing no partitions, only one 131*** MB C drive, whereas i have a 160GB hardDisk. It is driving me nuts.
Please help!
Two of my partitions have got bad sectors and my hard-disk is badly damaged. I have a toshiba hardDisk.
