Broken In
upgraded to ubuntu 12.04 and all the processes were done successfully
but in the second last step of cleaning up there was a small note was shown as
THE PROCESS IS HALTED BECAUSE THERE IS SOME ERROR.
and now i can't start the OS.
need help

From which version did you upgrade to 12.04? Does it through any specific error message at startup?

it was upgraded from 11.10 to 12.04
and there is no specific error message at start up infact it shows the starting page but mouse and keyboard are not working and the OS can't be started.

Have you tried to re-install it? You should do a clean install with the booting method & If there is any important data then try to save them in partition menu.

If you are getting the grub, then select recovery mode during boot and see what comes up. If you cant get grub, then run ubuntu live, backup your files and do a clean install.
