2 . windows 2000 professional

1.) Open C:\Boot.ini file in Notepad (It'll be HIDDEN And Read-only).
2.) Remove the line saying "windows xp media center edition" and make sure to set "WIndows 2000" as DEFAULT.
3.) Also set Timeout to 0

my boot.ini file reads this:

;
;Warning: Boot.ini is used on Windows XP and earlier operating systems.
;Warning: Use BCDEDIT.exe to modify Windows Vista boot options.
;
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /FASTDETECT /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN
c:\ ="Microsoft Windows"

Broken In
1)Open msconfig(type msconfig on run) and go to boot.ini
2)Check all boot paths
3)If the os does'nt exist it will say that invalid path.Delete the one with invalid path
4)Reboot

Can anybody tell why the double boot menu was being shown?
He selected "Vista" from the first bot-menu and then he was shown another boot menu. Any trick to show nested boot-menus. I don't think so though.

@clmlbx: can you post your earlier boot-menu?
