if u install xp last , then it will be the default boot os

however u can change the boot sequence by editing the "C:\boot.ini" file :D

hmm, everybody says u can install 3 os but real deal is what file system your harddisk is on. if your hard disk is partitoned as NTFS, u cant have multiple boot option u can hav only that os which is on primary partition.

its totally a waste installing all the 3. win 98's plug is already unplugged. there isnt much to do with win 98. have a LEGAL version of WinXP Professional or Home edition installed coz WinXP is an upgraded or may i say an extra addition with some of the feature of Win 2000 itself

you can have multiboot option on NTFS file sysyem e.g win2000,winxp,winxp mediacenter etc
(win 98 will not install on NTFS)

Format a partition as FAT 32 and use it to install Win 98(if ya need to) and use the rest NTFS partitions for WIN XP & 2000.( but its compltely useless, either get a different OS like Linux, Mac or try a server OS like Windows Server )

Says WHO ???????:confused::confused::confused::confused:

This is the first time I heard such a statement !

I might be wrong but whatever little knowledge I have, I'll try and explain this.

U can install multiple OS on a single drive provided u have enough space and u partition the drive properly.

For ur requirements, u have to have at least 3 partitions on your hard drive for each OS.

Then U have to format the C: drive as FAT32 so that u can install Win98.

Install Win98 on that drive.
After u install Win98, u have to install Windows 2000 on the 2nd partition and then WindowsXp on the 3rd.
I mean to say that, u have to install win98 on C: and then u can install the Windows2000 and XP on any of the other partitions (don't install them on the same partition please)

I would recommend u to format the win2000 and XP partitions as NTFS for better performance and security.

But u won't be able to access the NTFS drives from Win98 directly. U have to use some tools that u will get on the net for that purpose !

I explained whatever I thought would be enough for u !

I hope I kept it simple....

If u still have problems.....I give this place a visit every other day !
Feel free to ask here or PM me !

dude its gotta be fat32....three partitions....n enuf mem to install xp, 2k n 9x but d point is itsa waste...u may go for just xp n 98 thats justified...wat do u need 2k for...xp is a mod of it....both use nt server so no real diff....98 may solve some compatible issues...instead go for other os like mac, linux etc.

i personally used 3 os on mine but realised im wasting one of em...

gud luk
cheers
