Console Junkie
Hi
As usual with my laptop, after the installation of OpenSUSE 10.2, in a month or two, the DVD writing speed has come down dramatically.
When I had freshly installed the OS, it used to take about 15 minutes to write a 4GB data on a DVD at 8X speed. (Actually k3b says that writing speed is 8X, but it is around 4-5X average). And now, it takes about 25 minutes (or more) to write the DVD (I tried Gnome disk creator also). Also the time the system used to take to transfer the data from a CD/DVD onto HDD has increased.
Anu suggestions? Ideas? Or the only way it to reinstall?
Aditya
