FURIOUS Jose Mourinho was arrested last night after he “lost the plot” in a row with police and a health official over his pet Yorkshire terrier.
The usually-suave Chelsea boss SPRINTED from his club’s player of the year awards when wife Tami phoned to tell him the dog was being taken away.
He BRUSHED ASIDE autograph hunters to rush home. There he found an official — escorted by two cops — wanting to put it in quarantine, fearing it had been taken abroad and back without jabs.
Portuguese coach Mourinho, 44, is said to have seen red, and BUNDLED the dog outside his house in London’s posh Belgravia.
Last night it was on the loose.
Mourinho — preparing for Saturday’s FA Cup Final against Manchester United — was arrested and taken to Belgravia police station, where he was finger-printed.
An onlooker at the Chelsea bash in a marquee in Battersea Park said Mourinho leapt from his table just before 8.30pm.
He added: “Jose had obviously got bad news. He bolted for the exit, sprinting to a line of taxis.”
He arrived at the two-storey terraced mews house — which he is believed to rent for £19,000 a month — at 9pm. Tami was at home with the couple’s daughter Matilde, ten, and son Jose Junior, six.
One source said: “It was a tearful situation and tempers were frayed. Mourinho refused to allow his dog to be taken.
“It caused a lot of upset and Mourinho lost the plot. He was arrested at around 10pm for obstructing police in their duty.
“Efforts are now being made to try to trace the whereabouts of the dog.”
A Met Police spokesman confirmed: “Negotiations took place with the owner and subsequently a man in his 40s was arrested.”

COMMENT ON THIS STORY
SIR ALEX FERGUSON slammed Jose Mourinho's mind games after Manchester United were denied a controversial goal by referee Steve Bennett.
Ryan Giggs looked to have bundled the ball over the line in extra time but Bennett and his linesman did not spot it.
And a fuming Fergie reckons that Mourinho's words in the build up to the final put too much pressure on the officials.
Ferguson said: "The goalkeeper has spilled it behind the line - it would have been a difficult one for the linesman to call but the referee should have been in a better position.
"I think the pressure that Mourinho put on the referee before the match didn’t help.
"To lose the game and see a replay of that is harsh to say the least."
Ferguson also believes that his side should have had a penalty after Giggs seemed to be dragged back in the same incident.
He said: "It is a clear penalty and the referee must be in a better position to see that."
United boss Fergie also believes fatigue played a major part in the loss.
He added: "There was nothing between the two teams - neither deserved to lose or win and it is disappointing we have lost.
"The pitch was slow and that didn't help but from our point so view I think we were tired in two or three positions, which didn't help us.
"What the players have been through in the last few months has been exceptional and credit for that but we couldn't cross the line today.
"Maybe the number of games they play eventually gets to them."
