In the zone
i got this warning

The system process c:\windows\system32\Isass.exe Terminated unexpectedly with status code 128 . the system will shutdown and restart in 60 secs.

why this happening
it is happening today only
it happened 2-3 times today

i checked and saw i got
Trojan_LowZones and
Backdoor_Trojan
virus
i cleaned it . i mean the files infected with it.

i want to know one should install which Microsoft update to be protected from the exploit. i found for this exploit.
but i want to know to protect from other threats (I mean all threats till now discovered by experts)one should install which Microsoft update .

I want that Microsoft update but that should come in 1 single file
whether it is possible

i have Windows XP with SP1
like always updates are coming from microsoft

like norton antivirus updates comes in 1 single file for virus defination

i want that Microsoft update file
thanks

perhaps you've probable been infected with sasser or the lovesan virus.

first run your virus scan (avast) at boot time or safe mode using deep-scan modes.

then download and use the latest sasser removal tool and sasser fixer tool (microsoft/symantec).

then patch up your pc with KB835732 patch.

use zone alarm firewall, when on the net.

in case u use broadband, take windows updates. else use the latest autopatcher.

search for blaster lovesan sasser in this form to get several threads on tis problem. :)

Yes, it indeed is a virus. Follow anandk's suggestions and if possible, keep an untainted copy of McAfee Stinger with you to check and remove such occurrences. I've moved this thread to the appropriate section, but in future, please make sure you search before posting as there are tons of posts that have this issue solved in them.
