Terminate and stay Programs

hello guys

i was browsing through some DOS features at some websites and came upon TSR or terminate and stay resident programs. the y sounded quite good though i was unable to figure out who they were implemented . Can anyone tell me or point to a source that can provide information on how it is implemented in C or C ++ . i was interested in them as they can be a rather um.. unique type of programs .
any help would be greatly appreciated .

In Windows NT onward all programs are terminate and stay resistence. as you can do multi tasking.

TSR were the technique through which you can achive multitasking in non multitasking environment.

Now all modern OS supports this feature by native.
