Telnet thru VB

HI

How do i connect to a remote system (using telnet) thru a VB application. I think using this facility, i can easily send emails using SMTP server..

Any idea how to do this in VB?

Hey is telnet is better way or ftp (* coz i did this type of program in java and was suggested to use ftp said telnet coz some secrity prob any way if any one know then just tell me with proper resion)
