If you have takn Tata Sky and asking for a channel?
Sorry guys, no one will listen...sorry they will listen to you but with no result.
As for me, I asked for two Bangla Channel like Kolkata TV & Tara Bangla 6 months ago and was assured. BUT no result.
Furthermore not all the channels are available.
So think twice.

Comeon dude,You are not the only subscriber of TataSky.They telecast the channels which they feel its worth.
Those Kolkata Tv and Tara Bangla are regional channel and they have very very low audience(Country Wide). They have limited number of transponders and hence they cannot telecast all the local channels.
Understand it.

Ya i agree there are regional channels too like the Sun Network(Gemini,Udaya,Teja etc).
But these channels have very wide popularity in whole South India.
While Bangla TV etc etc are concentrated mainly in W.Bengal.So you cannot blame TataSky for that.

BTW Iam not an TS subscriber!

Its how popular the TV channel is.
If Tata Sky had promised that it will give you the channel, they should. No matter whether 10 or 100 ask for it.

I have a doubt with tata sky. What will happen if I connect 2 TV sets to one set top box. Say I use a cable that has two outputs that I feed to 2 tvs. What will happen?

I am no techie but I think that will weaken the signal.

That's obvious, but you can still use 2 tv sets with 1 connection. And some TVs perform well even with low signal level.

I agree with you. But they are providing with less popular channels as, what I feel, avoiding most popular channels due to POLITICAL REASONS ALONE.All Singur & Nandigram problem are being highlighted in those channels & TRP is very high.
Secondly, why they are giving false promises??

You will receive one channel in both TV. No change in signal. Better use 2 set top box for you liberty.

Be careful......Tata has started so called packages to lure and asking for more money!!! Most unethical approach to those who has already subscribed for all channel package.

Wandering in time...
^^You can if your TV tuner is digital one and not analogue...
If its analouge then it won't be able to even display the channels as they are encoded ......
I could be wrong though but I have read this somewhere...

well Ankur Gupta is talking about directly giving the signal to TV tuner...

Whereas if you have set-top box, you can connect the Svideo output to the S-Video input of your TV tuner card... just be sure to buy one with S video Input :)
