Task Manager = not opening!

My Task Manager is not opening!
Whenever i try to open my task manager a msg box appears and it says that the task manager has been disabled by the administrator!!
But i by myself is wholesole owner of the computer and there are no other users of my PC and i am the only administrator of my comp!
So please tell me the way out of it!

first check your system for the virus with the latest definition.


go to run open gpedit.msc
  • Navigate to this branch:
User Configuration / Administrative Templates / System / Ctrl+Alt+Delete Options / Remove Task Manager
  • Double-click the Remove Task Manager option.
  • Set the policy to Not Configured.

Task Manager Disabled ? Download and apply this registry fix. Reboot. A good read here.

^^ Now I really feel that I wasted my time in compiling that "Frequently Asked Problems" thread. :D
If senior members will not encourage others to read that thread then who else will do? Its a request to all members to suggest the thread if it covers the asked problem. :)

open gpedit.msc
Navigate to User Configuration / Administrative Templates / System / Ctrl+Alt+Delete Options / Remove Task Manager
Double-click the Remove Task Manager option.
Set the policy to Not Configured

man everything is disabled in my pc registry editor gpedit.msc how do i solve this problem mt task manager also is having this problem i had this after a virus came from yahoo messenger but norton deleted it now run does not appear in start

This problem is caused by virus, and I think the information mentioned in above thread will not help. As many things including registry is also disabled.
