System restore

Is there any tool available which allow you to run system restore in DOS mode when you can't log into windows ?

u can try norton ghost though , u can boot from ghost software disk n make n image n restore .

Norton ghost is another software n it will not restore files using windows restore points , it uses it's own format .

No, I dont think there is a tool available to boot in dos mode and use the "Windows System Restore" to restore your system to previous state.. You will need to backup with third party tools and restore... Anyways, why do you want to do it in DOS mode??

Yes, If u r able to start command prompt(safe mode) , type %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

i know but i meant that u can use ghost to make backup of your hdd or partition regularly n when u wanna backup just restore from that backup.

it clearly started that he needs to backup on HDD

how can he arrange another HDD for backup using ghost
