Hi everyone

Longtime no see

My brother has a amd based system and here goes the specs;

Amd athlon 4400+
asus m2a-vm mobo
Kingston 2x2gb ddr2
250gb hdd seagate
sapphire radeon 4650 512mb ddr2
viewsonic va2226w monitor
Creative soundblaster xfi
altec lansing vs 3251 5.1

The problem is when the system boots for the first time there's no display in the monitor.There is no warning beep sounds so i cant figure it out.After keeping the power button pressed the system turns off and after that it boots with display.

Is it a loose display card problem or somethin else?
Guys please help me out on this one.......

The first thing I would try is basically making sure all cables are connected properly. Then if you are sure everything is right Id go for the display card. The board you have has onboard display. Try removing the card and see if the onboard one works. If iot does well then you found your problem.

it maybe the vga adaptor port has gone loose, you may be in a situation where your OS needs re-install(more likely situation if you are on XP or windows) because with H/W it does not happens that it gives problem once and 2nd time it works fine always. it may happen randomly but that would be due to loose connection.
