Synaptic Keep updating msttcorefonts

Once I downloaded msttcorefonts with sudo apt-install command in my ubuntu dapper. Though the download was not completed, few fonts were installed.
Now whenever I update or install any diffrent package, msiicorefonts start to download at end. I want to remove this annoyance. But do not want to remove the installed fonts

Remove the fonts package once and then reinstall. That will inform the package manager that the installation went smoothly and it will not try to reinstall the package in future.
