Well they both are Dual Core processors, but as per term, they are never the same, Pentium D and Pentium Dual Core are completelly 2 different processors...

Intel Pentium D

Intel Pentium Dual Core

Now if you have a Pentium Dual Core processors with a unsupported motherboard or vice versa... then possible one hardware issue may come up...

So make sure you have the right combination of hardware !!! as the motherboard you have writen doesnt seem to have support for Intel Pentium Dual Core range !!!!!

Is actually a real word..
you could try a SFC /scannow . or could be malware, my sys shows all lower case (svchost.exe). Or wait for Choto, he seems to be handling this pretty good.

Hi Choto Cheeta

First of all Wish u a very Happy Diwali.

All the device drivers are uptodate. I am using 1 GB Ram. This problem occurs only, while i connect to internet. no ram hungry apps (sometimes it occurs with single page like google.co.in). i feel that this problem occurs if i leave my system for more than 10 minutes with internet connection ON. sfc i will run very soon and let you know the report.

:)
