E3-1245 V3 is basically an i7 4770. so if you can get it for 19.5k, then get it over 4770. do bargain :D. i would suggest asus h87M E.

Sure, bargaining is fun.

As far as Mobo is concerned I am little stuck on whether to go for B85 and save 1.5K or go with H87. I am not sure about practical benefits of H87 over B85. Sorry for being persuasive about this question. :)

If you're going with a CPU with no IGP, stick to B85 and save the extra money. The only useful feature of H87 over B85 is Lucid Virtu if you use Quick-Sync for video transcoding.

@all I checked price of E3-1245 V3 over phone and its around 19,500 but will re-confirm again in next week to be sure.

Where did you get the price from... if possible kindly let me know the prices for E3-1230 V3 and E3-1240 V3 and E3-1275 V3 (almost all are similar to i& 4770 leaving few features...)

Sorry, forgot to mention that I got pricing from PrimeABGB. They did not have pricing for 1230 & 1240 and told me to call back on Tuesday / Wednesday.

I am thinking to buy system next weekend, so will call and collect prices before that and share them here on thread.

Wow! That's good one, but I am thinking to go for 2X4GB, and Flipkart doesn't have good pricing for that. :(

Go for single stick of 8GB... believe me you wont notice much difference in performance in day to day tasks.

It would be easier for you in long run :)

@op a few things about BigData setup with Hadoop Classic

I am running a Hadoop Cluster with 1 Desktop(Win7 x64 host with 8GB RAM) and a Laptop(Win 7 x64 host with 3 GB RAM) and all the VMs running Ubuntu. Hadoop Classic(no YARN) with PIG,HIVE ,MySQL.
- I have 1 NameNode running with 2 Cores with 2 GB RAM
- I have 3 DataNodes running with 1 Core with 1.5GB RAM each and 1 DataNode running with same config in the laptop

after starting all the Nodes I hardly have 1 GB RAM(physical) available for submitting tasks to the cluster.

So if you are running for just a learning setup then get any of the Xeon you have selected and get 12+ GB RAM. Also DataNodes requires a high disc bandwidth so mutiple physical discs would be better.

you can also consider, AOC i2369VM monitor.

Thank you for suggestions, but I think that would be costly for my budget. Dell S2240L seems to fit perfectly in my budget.

Ok, will consider this.

Wow! Thank you for such elaborate explanation. At the moment I can fit only 8GB in budget, plus I'll begin to learn BigData so I think 8GB should be good. I'll consider adding more RAM based on my learning and need. I have a 500GB spare disk with me so multiple disc problem should kind of not arise.
