Hello everyone,

1. Need some urgent suggestions regarding a new MB for i5 4440. Have shortlisted the following:
Gigabyte GA-B85M-Gaming 3 / GA-B85M-D3V-A ~ 4.2k on amazon.in.
MSI H97 PC Mate LGA 1150 ~ 8.2k on ebay.in

2. Will shift my current Mobo (Gigabyte H81M-S1) to a new basic office PC for MS Office work. What VFM processor should I purchase ?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Current Configuration:

Intel Core i5 4440
Gigabyte H81M-S1
Corsair 4GB x 2 (PC3-10700 667MHZ)
Samsung 850 EVO 120 GB
HDD: 2 TB + 2 TB + 1 TB
GPU: Nvidia 1060 3GB
PSU: Corsair VX450
Cabinet: Corsair Carbide 400R
Monitor: Dell 2312H

Thanks.

While the MSI PCI H97 Mate is good in all aspects, but there's this problem with most MSI motherboards I have used. They all seem to have some or the other sort of memory/ram problems.

Also, it seems you're getting a higher quote for it than you should. Go for Asus or Asrock, they aren't as ridiculed by boot up problems as MSI.

Don't spend more than 5-6k on LGA 1150 mobo unless you plan to keep it for more than 3-4 years. Newer CPUs won't be compatible and you'd have to buy a new mobo eventually in case you want to upgrade the i5-4440.

Any suggestions for what VFM CPU should I go for my existing H81 motherboard ??
Why do you want to change the CPU anyways?
I5-4440 is more than sufficient for most performance oriented day to day task as well as gaming etc.
Unless you're into video encoding, playing SIM games, or running lots of emulators... You're quite well of with the 4400.

Actually I was planning to assemble a new basic PC for MS office & typing work. Thought that I could use my existing MB for it and get a better MB for my main desktop which is used primarily for movies, gaming, browsing & downloads.

I'm not completely sure if choosing the above option is most wise. The only gripe I have with my existing motherboard is its lack of SATA ports. Rest its working fine. Budget for my new PC is very tight ~ 15-18K.

get some external HDDs if you are facing storage issue or higher capacity internal HDD.
