Ans: Any.

3. Dual sim?
Ans: Not a priority

4. Preferred choice of brand?
Ans: reputed / good brands preferred

5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)?
Ans: good camera with Flash preferred

6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, etc).
Ans: Android or Windows

7. Preferred connectivity options (3G, 4G ready).
Ans: preferred Both but expecting 3g

8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)?
Ans: Voice Calls, little Internet, Mail, & Multimedia

9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
Ans: NO

10. Any other info that you want to share
Ans: phone should be built proper as she drops it many times. a Free call recording option / app is required (i think that rules out Windows phones)

11. ASS is needed.

Zenphone 4.5 or Moto E? or some other model? Please suggest.

Zenfone 4 (4" or 4.5"). And be sure to go for the one with Gorilla Glass is available.

i too shortlisted the same. didn't check Asus Zenfone 4 A450CG though. it is the one with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 but it is priced at INR6,999, the same price at which Moto E is available.

if he can wait a couple of months more and increase budget to around 10k, 2nd gen Asus Zenfone should be launched with ARMv8 (64bit) chipset and maybe Android 5.0 out of the box.

Asus launched Pegasus in China. mayn't be part of the Zenfone lineup but a small hardware refresh but Android 4.4. may worth waiting. but for now Asus Zenfone 4 4.5" is still better option.

5K is too small a budget for a decent phone,if he can extend to atleast 6-7k,Moto E,zenfone etc are excellent phones

you missed the update. i told that and got it increased to 7k.

oh nice except if zenfone 2 is gonna be MTK,dont get it

if budget is 7k + branded phones then

wait for HTC android one as well HTC Vo2

also the new upcoming zenfone 4.5 has 2100mah battery and intel soc

might turn out decent for the price

else Moto E/zenfone 4.5 for now or Nokia lumia 630 for 6k from flipkart

MTK Chipset are getting better day by day surely they used to have GPS issues in past.Now everything is fixed.There is no app compatibility issues like intel chipset neither is overheating or battery drain issues.you can read many reviews of phones having MTK chipset over GSMarena.

This year lot more phone will use mediatek Chipset.

My younger brother is using Xolo Q700 he donot have any issues till now and it is giving battery backup of 3 days with moderate use.

for below 5k Lava Iris win1 is also good option, but wait if you can, there are not so good phone right now
