Suggest software for TV tuner

i have TV tune card i did get a software with it but it isn't great......i want a software tat can even rip(record) tv programs along with compressin it... can n e one plz suggest some good softwarez

which TV Tuner card is it & which Tuner module does it uses

there are many applications for that such as chrisTV, SageTV, Yahoo TV Engine & Media Portal
